Remember our No Sex, Drugs or Rock and Roll: Just a New I-9 and EEO-1 which we published just 2 weeks ago? Well forget about the new EEO-1 part.

Yesterday, the EEOC announced that the White House Office of Management and Budget has indefinitely suspended use of the new EEO-1 form. This means that at least this year, employers do not have to collect, analyze and incorporate the wage data previously required by that form. As far as we know, at this time, the traditionally included demographic data for 2017’s EEO-1 compliance will still be due on March 31, 2018 as opposed to the usual September 30 deadline and must be based on a single payroll period between October 1 and December 31, 2017.

We will keep you informed of any further developments.
