Jillian focuses her practice in the areas of employment and civil litigation. She concentrates on the defense of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, defamation, and wrongful discharge claims and investigates workplace issues and complaints. In addition, she has experience representing clients at various phases of federal and state litigation, as well as internal investigations, government investigations, and corporate compliance, relating to issues arising under, for example, the federal anti-kickback statute, the False Claims Act, the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, and the Sherman Act. Jillian has experience conducting training on the avoidance of insider trading and compliance with securities laws. She has also drafted policies for employers relating to employee trading and compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Jillian was also an appellate law clerk to the Honorable Marie P. Simonelli, J.A.D. She graduated from the University of Michigan and received her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, cum laude, where she was the Senior Articles Editor of Law Review. Before law school, Jillian was a corporate paralegal in New York where she reviewed and negotiated confidentiality agreements and managed a team of paralegals and clerks in substantial document review for a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm client.
